Let me introduce myself
I am a registered clinical counsellor with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. After my graduate studies, I completed various trauma specific trainings such as Advanced Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Advanced Somatic Experiencing Trauma Therapy, Therapeutic Enactment, Narrative Therapy, Hypnotherapy (Imagery & Visualization), Energy Psychology (Emotion Freedom Technique-EFT), Ego State/Parts Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). In addition, I am always engaged in professional development and have completed trainings on Advanced Gottman couples Therapy, Advanced Bader Pearson couples therapy, Reiki, Qigong, meditation and resonance, Grief and Loss Processing and family constellations.
I am an active member of BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), EMDR Canada, EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and I am a service provider for the Crime Victim Assistance Program. I have experience counselling individuals and groups affected by depression, anxiety, abuse, trauma / Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anger, guilt, shame, low self-esteem, life transitions, relationship issues, grief, loss, and cultural adjustment. I am comfortable working with people of various diversity and culture. In my practice, I use a multimodal approach according to clients’ needs, goals, and preferences. I provide brief and depth therapy to assist individuals in resolving, managing or alleviating current concerns and past issues that may be affecting their ability to attain their goals and face the challenges of everyday life successfully.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, dancing, hiking, camping, travelling, reading and listening to music. I also have interest in learning pottery and photography.
